Mr. Joel Ravier is a public health administrator focused on overdose prevention, cross-sector care coordination, and correctional health quality improvement. He serves as Director of the Overdose & Poisoning Prevention Program at Alameda County Health, where he leads countywide strategies to reduce drug-related morbidity and mortality. Mr. Ravier also represents the health department in quality assurance and medical quality improvement efforts at Santa Rita Jail, supporting collaboration among public health, behavioral health, correctional health, and public safety partners. His work includes strengthening care transitions for people with substance use disorder after incarceration. Previously, he led Alameda County’s community COVID-19 vaccination branch and humanitarian programs in Syria and Türkiye.
