Ms. Wendy Habert is NCCHC's Director of Accreditation where she is responsible for overseeing the health services accreditation program for over 500 facilities nationwide and 120+ NCCHC surveyor consultants. She is also a Lead Surveyor and has been an NCCHC surveyor for 10 years. She has been working in the correctional setting the bulk of the last 28+ years, with experience in both jails and prisons. Prior to joining NCCHC, Ms. Habert was employed as a sworn deputy sheriff, health services administrator, and a command staff member of the Sheriff’s Office as the director of compliance overseeing health care services in one of Colorado's largest jails. She has also served as a regional director of operations for a national correctional health services vendor where she advised correctional facilities across the country on accreditation and opioid treatment programs.
