Dr. Richard Hough is an instructor at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City. He is appointed in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology. Professor Hough was a faculty member at the University of West Florida for nearly 25 years and has also been a faculty member at the University of Maryland Global Campus for more than a decade. Prior to his transition to academe, Dr. Hough had a career as a criminal justice practitioner, manager, and leader. He still actively trains recruits and in-service officer. Among various positions, Dr. Hough served as director of jails for two Florida counties and superintendent of two detention centers for the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice.
