102 Sepsis: A Matter of Life and Death
Description
With sepsis, early intervention can make the difference between life and death. Nursing and security staff must be trained to recognize early signs and symptoms. This presentation will discuss the sequelae of the disease, how to recognize signs and symptoms, early intervention, the results of late or missed diagnosis, and the steps health staff must take to prevent sepsis. A review of case studies and current guidelines will be presented.
