Description

Infection prevention and control are important parts of correctional health care. Promoting prevention, recognizing potential infections prior to incarceration, and control of diseases is our goal. History teaches that looking at the past can help plan how to accomplish this for our future. Challenges include staffing, technology, education, training, communication, collaboration, and cooperation -- all of which are critical to decrease disease burden.
