Name
RT06 Use of CBT to Treat Domestic Violence Perpetrators*
Description

Although research has shown that treatment is often ineffective in reducing recidivism among those who engage in domestic violence, cognitive behavioral therapy can reduce the frequency and quantity of violent interactions. Participants will gain a working knowledge of evidence-based approaches to CBT, including specific treatment tools and therapeutic skills, that can readily be applied while working with this population.
