This presentation will cover the opioid epidemic and its impact on those involved in the criminal justice system. Dr. Podesta will address the challenges and benefits of a MAT program within a correctional facility, as well as the options for medical treatment, including long-acting injectable buprenorphine. The program will conclude with an overview of resources available to aid in transition of care for incarcerated patients.
