Tessa Bialek, JD, is a Managing Attorney at the Civil Rights Litigation Clearinghouse, at the University of Michigan Law School, which collects and presents information from large-scale civil rights cases across the United States.  In this role, she develops criminal justice-related policy recommendations based on civil rights lawsuits, looking to the outcomes of those lawsuits to inform best practices for compliance.  Her previous work as an attorney has focused on juvenile sentencing reform and parole, as well as consumer protection.  Tessa holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a J.D. from Yale Law School.
