Dr. Krystin Holmes is the senior director of adult forensic services at the Harris County Jail. She began her career in community mental health at a local mental health authority serving the adult population. She later transitioned to inpatient acute care, serving as a lead therapist in child and adolescent units. After leaving the for-profit sector, Dr. Holmes returned to community mental health to serve the juvenile forensic population and their families. She currently directs clinical care and administrative operations for the jail-based competency restoration (JBCR) program. Dr. Holmes remains active in private practice, academia, and research, with a focus on increasing awareness of underserved populations.
