Dr. Joseph Penn is a triple-trained and board-certified general, child and adolescent, and forensic psychiatrist. He serves as director of mental health services for the University of Texas Medical Branch, Correctional Managed Care in Conroe, Texas. He is a clinical professor of psychiatry at the University of Texas Medical Branch and core faculty for the forensic psychiatry fellowship training program. He is the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law representative to the NCCHC Board of Representatives, a past NCCHC physician surveyor, vice chair of the NCCHC accreditation committee, and a member of the board of directors of NRI, Inc. He has numerous publications and has presented nationally and internationally. In 2005, Dr. Penn was named to Best Doctors in America.
