Mrs. Joanne Love is a mental health nurse with 35 years’ mental health nursing experience. She was born and worked in Scotland and moved to New Zealand in 2000. She lives in sunny Hawkes Bay, the wine capital of New Zealand. Mrs. Love’s title is principal adviser mental health and addictions and she has worked for Ara Poutama, Department of Corrections, New Zealand since 2017. Mrs. Love holds a master’s degree in clinical nursing from Victoria University, Wellington, a post-graduate certificate in professional nursing practice (Māori mental health) with distinction, from Otago Polytechnic as well as holding credentials as a registered general nurse and registered mental health nurse in the United Kingdom and a comprehensive nurse in New Zealand.
