Description
Tuberculosis remains a significant problem among correctional facility residents in the United States. This presentation will characterize current epidemiology of TB in this population and review the spectrum of TB from asymptomatic infection to active/potentially contagious disease, and identify strategies to diagnose, treat, and prevent TB. It will discuss current CDC guidance for TB control in correctional facilities and use case-based examples to illustrate key points.
