Description
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) has been shown to reduce overdose deaths, improve treatment retention, enhance employment outcomes, and support better birth outcomes. While access to MAT is expanding in correctional facilities, significant barriers remain. This presentation will discuss challenges to MAT expansion and how normalization strategies can improve access and patient outcomes.
