Numerous medical conditions are of particular concern for medical personnel caring for patients with a history of substance use. This presentation will review acute and chronic conditions commonly associated with substance use, highlighting key signs, symptoms, and considerations. It will also address critical staff training necessary to improve patient outcomes in this population.
