This presentation examines post-traumatic stress disorder from childhood trauma among incarcerated men in a residential mental health unit. It will outline a pilot psychoeducational group therapy program, including design, objectives, content, and its effects on participants. Challenges unique to this population and setting will also be discussed.
Educational Objectives- Explain the process for creating a psychoeducational therapy program to address PTSD stemming from childhood trauma
