Description

This session will discuss the treatment landscape for opioid use disorder (OUD) within the criminal justice system, highlighting the benefits of the most currently available treatment options.
Dr. Norton will draw on her extensive experience connecting incarcerated individuals diagnosed with OUD with treatment and the profound impact it has had on communities. 

Dr. Norton is the Director of Substance Use Disorder Programming for Prime Care Medical, Inc. She has over a decade of focused work with the justice-involved populations implementing behavioral health interventions for both mental health and substance use. She has extensive experience in the development and expansion of programs to offer Medications for Opioid Use
Disorder to incarcerated individuals.
