Description

In 2023, the Arizona prison system expanded their hepatitis C treatment program and developed a streamlined approach to treatment. Since then, a designated team has started approximately 6,000 patients on hepatitis C treatment using key process changes that increase patient autonomy, minimize staff workload, and expand access to treatment. This talk highlights the program history, the process simplification, challenges overcome, and key strategies for all correctional health professionals who treat hepatitis C.
