Description
When youth engage in problematic behavior, facility staff often struggle to respond in an effective manner. In this presentation, participants will learn the importance of effective assessment of problem behaviors, how to identify effective interventions to target the behavior directly and in a way that communicates accountability, and the importance of multidisciplinary efforts and ongoing communication.

- Describe the importance of a functional assessment in determining appropriate interventions for problem behavior in youth
- Identify how to develop and implement skill-strengthening plans when targeting behavior problems
