Dr. Kimberly Anne Rumsey is an assistant professor at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. She is also the junior level track coordinator for the BSN program, and shares responsibility as course coordinator for Adult Health 2, a second-semester course. Dr. Rumsey’s current research interests include innovations in nursing education, evaluating nursing student success, and mentoring of nursing students. Dr. Rumsey has worked in various roles in general medical surgical nursing with expertise in oncology. Dr. Rumsey has been in academia for the past 14 years. Her professional affiliations include the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning, UTMB Galveston Women’s Resource Network, Coalition of Advanced Practice Nurses, National League for Nursing, Oncology Nursing Society, American Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau.
