LT Barbara Skidmore is a staff pharmacist with the United States Public Health Service and has served as the lead outpatient pharmacist at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Lexington, Kentucky since December 2019. LT Skidmore is the clinical coordinator for the local hepatitis C (HCV) clinic, as well as a regional HCV clinical consultant pharmacist, reviewing requests for HCV treatment regimens for six Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) institutions. LT Skidmore has been recognized for her leadership of the COVID-19 vaccine response at FMC Lexington, her support of local mental health and psychology programs, and for her support of national BOP operations during multiple temporary duty assignments. LT Skidmore earned her degree from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy, and prior to commissioning with the U.S. Public Health Service, worked as a community pharmacist for 10 years.
