Dr. Pierre Nunez is Senior Adjunct Faculty in the online Master’s in Applied Psychology Program at The Chicago School, where he has taught since its launch in 2008. He teaches Research Methods and other courses and has served as adjunct faculty in psychology, educational counseling, and nursing programs since 1993. Dr. Nunez is also Chief Correctional Psychologist at Cermak Health Services, Cook County Jail—the nation’s largest single-site pretrial facility and Illinois’ largest mental health provider. He holds a master’s from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a doctorate from Northwestern University. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and served on its clinical faculty. In 2020, he received the Cook County Health iCare Award and, in 2023, was appointed to the National Institute of Corrections’ Mental Health Committee.
