Ms. Marilyn Perez is a fourth-year student at USC majoring in the global health BS and global medicine MS programs. She has experience working on environmental health research focusing on the health effects that oil wells are having on the Los Angeles community under the Environmental Health Justice Lab. She also has experience working in Alzheimer’s disease research, specifically in deep brain stimulation under the Neurological Surgery Department at the Keck School of Medicine. In the future, Ms. Perez hopes to go to medical school and become an oncologist.
