Ms. Busayo Akinloye is a master’s student in public health at Washington University in St. Louis. Her interest in public mental health led her to pursue a concentration in mental and behavioral health at the Brown School of Social Work and Public Health. Ms. Akinloye is the founder and current president of the Brown School Campus Alliance for Mental Health, a group which aims to cultivate a culture of mental wellbeing at the Brown School and raise awareness of public mental health issues around campus. She was also selected as a student ambassador to represent her university at the This Is Public Health (TIPH) 2024-2025 cohort of the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH). Ms. Akinloye is currently working as a research assistant in Dr. Phillip Marotta's harm reduction lab, exploring substance use disorders within the criminal justice system.
