Dr. Scarlett Lusk is a distinguished health care executive with over 25 years of experience in managing health care programs, improving health systems, and advancing public health initiatives. Currently serving as a facility healthcare program manager with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Houston, Texas, Dr. Lusk has been instrumental in leading the Quality Improvement Committee and overseeing the Safety, Infection Prevention, and Control Program since September 2021. Dr. Lusk's career with the United States Public Health Service began in 1998 and has included significant roles such as health system specialist at the Federal Correctional Complex in Beaumont, Texas, from 2012 to 2021. Prior to this, Dr. Lusk served as an assistant health services administrator at Federal Correctional Institution Bastrop in Texas from 2007 to 2012. Dr. Lusk's expertise also extends to health information management, demonstrated through roles such as health information manager at the Federal Correctional Institution in Terminal Island, California, where she supervised a team and provided critical administrative support for medical operations. In addition to a robust career in public health, Dr. Lusk has a strong academic background, holding a PhD in public health with a focus on epidemiology from Walden University (2019), an MPH in community health (2008), and a BS in health information management from Texas Southern University (1998).
