LCDR Felicia Peterson is a Nurse Consultant with over 12 years of experience in federal healthcare. She currently serves as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Public Health Service and has held key roles with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, and the Food and Drug Administration. Throughout her career, she has served in various capacities, including Clinical Nurse, Clinical Coordinator, Charge Nurse, Consumer Safety Officer, and Health Services Administrator, bringing a well-rounded perspective to healthcare operations and leadership. She is currently stationed at the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), within the Bureau of Health Workforce, Division of Nursing and Public Health. In this role, she provides expert consultation on nursing workforce initiatives, supports the review and evaluation of federal grant programs, and collaborates with healthcare and academic partners to strengthen the nursing and public health workforce across the nation.
