Dr. Leonora Muhammad is a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with 20 years’ experience in health care. Dr. Muhammad is the SVP, Associate Chief Nursing Officer of Patient Care Services at YesCare. She serves as a champion and advocate for the 1500+ YesCare nurses and clinical staff. Under her leadership at YesCare, she has helped correctional facilities nationwide successfully reduce and mitigate risk including assisting with streamlining the reporting of patient safety events and decreasing avoidable emergency room visits and inpatient hospitalizations by improving utilization of in-house infirmary bed management. She is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and board certified in Adult Geriatric Primary Care. She a Certified Correctional Healthcare Professional and an elected trustee on the NCCHC CCHP Board of Trustees and won the NCCHC Young Professionals Award in 2019. She is also a lifetime member and member of the Board of the National Black Nurses Association.
