Dr. Janee Stevenson is a nurse practitioner, educator, and healthcare leader dedicated to advancing women’s and family health. She serves as Director of Operations and Nurse Practitioner at the UNC Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology Same Day OBGYN Clinic, providing urgent and emergent gynecological care across inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr. Stevenson is also an Adjunct Instructor at Georgetown University School of Nursing, where she teaches and mentors future nurse practitioners and midwives. Her professional background spans correctional health, pediatrics, and emergency nursing, alongside scholarly contributions in mobile health technology, prenatal care access, and correctional nursing policy reform. A DNP Scholar of Distinction at Georgetown, she also serves as Research Committee Co-Chair for DNPs of Color and as a peer reviewer for the Clinical Journal for Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health.
