Dr. Margarita Pereyda is a physician executive with extensive senior-level management experience in clinical operations, health information technology, quality systems, correctional health, health policy, and strategic planning. Dr. Pereyda is the Chief Medical Officer for Los Angeles County’s Ambulatory Care Network, where she oversees nine health center groups encompassing 24 health centers, two ambulatory surgical centers, and two forensic pediatric hubs. She also oversees clinical services for Los Angeles County Juvenile Correctional Health Services.

Previously, Dr. Pereyda served as Chief Medical and Informatics Officer for Los Angeles County’s Adult Correctional Health Services, as a principal with a national health care consulting firm, as associate community benefit director for a large health system, and as chief medical officer for two federally qualified health centers. Her work focuses on delivery system integration, behavioral health integration, and leveraging technology to improve patient care. Dr. Pereyda remains clinically active as a board-certified internist and is a graduate of the California Health Care Foundation Health Care Leadership Fellowship Program.
