Dr. Jesse Trevino is a decorated Marine Corps veteran. He was a sworn member of the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) for over 10 years. His most notable work was with the nationally recognized Mental Health Unit (MHU). Later he went on to serve as an instructor, training coordinator, and curriculum developer at the SAPD Training Academy. After promoting to detective, Jesse became the Behavioral Threat Assessment Program Coordinator for the Southwest Texas Fusion Center, establishing and leading the first local-level threat assessment management program in the nation. Jesse has an A.A. from Northwest Vista College, a B.A. in Criminal Justice, and a M.S. in Criminal Justice & Criminology from UTSA. He is in the dissertation phase of his PhD program. Jesse is co-founder and President of SolutionPoint+, the international training consultancy. SolutionPoint+ is the de-escalation and mental wellness training provider for the Federal Bureau of Prisons since 2020.
