Dr. Srinivasa Reddy Pathagunti is a Correctional Unit Dentist with the Managed Care Dental Department at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, currently serving at the Robertson Unit, TDCJ, in Abilene, Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) before pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Information Systems in Michigan. With a strong interest in population health, Dr. Pathagunti later completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) from A.T. Still University. He further specialized in public health dentistry through a preceptorship at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health and completed a postdoctoral certificate in Community Dentistry at the same institution in Rochester, New York. In addition to his work in correctional health, Dr. Pathagunti has advanced training in Implantology and completed the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) MaxiCourse® in 2024. Dr. Pathagunti has a strong background in community-based participatory research, with a focus on underserved populations, including individuals living with HIV and pregnant women.
