Dr. Virginia Henson is the Director of Operations for Augusta University, Department of Juvenile Justice Health Services. With over 27 years of nursing experience, and nine years specializing in nursing leadership and management of correctional health care. She is actively working with executive leadership to implement standardized care in a juvenile health setting by: Focusing on strategic management to develop, evaluate, and maintain consistent practices within juvenile health medical clinics in a correctional setting through standardization methods that enhance care, reduce cost, and support evidence-based, best practices.
