Dr. Patricia Blair is a registered nurse, attorney, educator, and researcher with more than 25 years of experience in nursing education and health care law. She serves as Associate Professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch and Associate Director of Education for the Center for Correctional Healthcare Excellence. Dr. Blair’s academic work spans baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral nursing education, and her teaching and research focus on correctional health care. In her legal practice, she has represented nurses and other health care professionals before peer review committees and licensing boards. She also serves as the American Bar Association’s representative on the NCCHC Board of Representatives.
