Dr. Srinivasa Reddy Pathagunti is a correctional unit dentist with the managed care dental department at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, currently serving at the Robertson Unit, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, in Abilene, Texas. He earned a Bachelor of Dental Surgery before completing a master’s degree in business information systems in Michigan. With a strong interest in population health, he later earned a Master of Public Health from A.T. Still University. He further specialized in public health dentistry through a preceptorship at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health and completed a postdoctoral certificate in community dentistry at the same institution in Rochester, New York. In addition to his work in correctional health, Dr. Pathagunti has advanced training in implantology and completed the American Academy of Implant Dentistry MaxiCourse in 2024. He has a background in community-based participatory research, focusing on underserved populations, including individuals living with HIV and pregnant women.
