Description

From 2014 to 2022, the incidence of tuberculosis was higher among people in prisons and jails than in the overall U.S. population. The discussion will offer recommendations for preventing TB among people who are incarcerated or work in correctional and detention facilities. Testing and treating people who have latent TB infection in prisons and jails can prevent TB disease in these settings.
