Ms. Nikki Tafoya serves as Executive Director of Physical Health for the Indiana Department of Correction. With nearly 20 years of correctional health care experience, she has held leadership roles ranging from correctional nurse to Director of Nursing before advancing to statewide leadership. Ms. Tafoya earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Indiana University and is pursuing a Master of Science degree in Nursing Leadership and Management from Indiana Wesleyan University. She oversees physical health services across Indiana’s correctional system and is committed to advancing quality care, nursing leadership, and operational excellence.
