Dr. Pamela San Miguel has 30 years of health care experience, including roles as an emergency medical technician, registered nurse, correctional health care leader, and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Her experience includes acute care, correctional health, behavioral health, and public health with adult and adolescent populations. Dr. San Miguel has led correctional health care operations, quality improvement initiatives, and policy development, with a focus on continuity and quality of care. A CCHP, she is also an NCCHC surveyor. Her professional interests include behavioral health, justice-involved individuals and families, and underserved populations, with an emphasis on improving access to care and health outcomes.
