105 Behind our Fears of Medication-Assisted Treatment: Risks and Benefits
Description

In 2018, the Massachusetts Sheriffs Association launched a landmark initiative providing expanded medication for opioid use disorder options to individuals in jails. The presenters represent two of the facilities that took on this initiative, Norfolk County and Suffolk County. They will discuss the risk and benefits of implementing this treatment and how to bridge the gap between custody and health care staff to ensure positive outcomes to addiction recovery.
