Ms. Tara Flynn is a registered nurse who began her career in corrections in 2000 at the Norfolk Sheriff's Office as a staff nurse. In 2006, she was promoted to the rank of Assistant Deputy Superintendent responsible for overseeing the implementation of a high quality health care delivery system for the facility. She strives to ensure that all aspects of health care provided are in accordance with the standards of NCCHC, ACA, and the Department of Corrections. She is a Certified Correctional Health Professional with NCCHC, a Certified Correctional Nurse Manager with ACA, and a Certified Jail Manager with AJA.
