The Certified Correctional Health Professional program is the premier national certification dedicated to recognizing the special skills and knowledge necessary to provide care in the complex world of corrections. Today the program certifies over 4,000 nurses, physicians, dentists, mental health professionals, administrators, and others. This discussion will present an overview of CCHP certification including eligibility, how to apply, the exam, re-certification, and the benefits becoming a CCHP.
