Ms. Matissa Sammons has served with the National Commission on Correctional Health Care since 2005 and oversees all aspects of the Certified Correctional Health Professional program. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago and a master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. With expertise in psychometrics, assessment, test development, and program administration, she has played a central role in advancing professional certification within correctional health care. Before joining NCCHC, Ms. Sammons worked in psychiatric social services and industrial-organizational psychology. She is committed to strengthening the correctional health care workforce through professional development, certification, and high standards of practice.
