308 Continuum of Care: Bridging Patients to Community-Based Medication-Assisted Treatment for Opioid Addiction
Description

In January 2022, the Indiana Department of Corrections and Groups Recover Together created a pathway for comprehensive continuum of care treatment for incarcerated individuals with opioid use disorder. This session will describe the pre- and postrelease programs, the recovery resources available to returning citizens, and outcomes data. Participants will break into small groups with targeted prompts to discuss their own continuum of care programming.

Educational Objectives

  • Describe the IDOC/Groups pre- and postrelease programs
  • Discuss how IDOC identifies the best prospects for recovery resources and wraparound services
  • Review outcomes of the IDOC/Groups pathway

Level: Basic
