This presentation addresses self-harming behavior among individuals in custody, which can result in serious injuries and a decline in mental health, thereby impacting the well-being of mental health professionals, health staff, and custody staff. Research has shown that exposure to high rates of self-harming behaviors can have long-term effects on professional and personal staff well-being.
