This presentation addresses self-harming behavior among individuals in custody, which can include serious injuries and a decline in mental health, and the subsequent impact on the well-being of mental health professionals, health staff, and custody staff. Research has shown that exposure to high rates of self-harming behaviors can have a long-term impact on well-being that can impact staff professionally and personally.
