Competitive modeling as a tool for predicting mental health shifts during early incarceration is analyzed in this poster. Purpose and methods are discussed, focusing on readily accessible tools and revealing relative strengths of modeling approaches. Key findings highlight the models' effectiveness in early detection of mental health change risk and provide insights into these innovative approaches and their potential impact on mental health interventions in the correctional setting.
