Description

This session presents a comprehensive policy to address the physical and mental health needs of postpartum patients. With high rates of postpartum depression, especially among those separated from their infants, the policy emphasizes structured monitoring by psychiatric and behavioral health staff, particularly during the critical first four weeks. The role of discharge planning in supporting successful reintegration will also be explored. Attendees will gain actionable strategies for improving outcomes through early intervention and coordinated care.
