Description
There is a strong link between metabolic syndrome and mental illness, particularly among sedentary populations such as incarcerated individuals. Presenters will discuss how inactivity and certain high-risk psychiatric medications increase health risks and will share practical recommendations for managing these risks, including the role of minimal physical activity and medication considerations.
