327 Rethinking NSSI: Suicide-Specific Psychotherapy Approaches for High-Risk Individuals
Description

This session explores nonsuicidal self-injury as an acquired capacity for lethal self-harm, emphasizing the need for suicide-specific treatment approaches. Participants will learn about three evidence-based interventions: dialectical behavior therapy, brief cognitive behavioral therapy for suicide prevention, and the Attempted Suicide Short Intervention Program, along with practical strategies for building the foundation of suicide-specific care in correctional settings.
