Justice-involved individuals often present with complex, co-occurring psychiatric and medical conditions. This session, led by a multidisciplinary team that includes a psychiatrist, social worker, nurse practitioner, and corrections lieutenant, explores best practices for managing these high-need patients. Emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and creative problem-solving, the presentation offers strategies for delivering effective medical and mental health care without compromising safety and security.
