Mrs. Laura Sedillo, Program Manager for the Centurion New Mexico-Mental Health contract, started her career in correctional mental health care in 2007 at the Santa Fe county jail. She then took a five-break as a school social worker for children and with educational behavior management. During her time in the schools, in evenings and on weekends, she worked with homeless veteran women and their dependent children, through the NM-YWCA. In January of 2017, she started at Centurion as a therapist and by March was promoted to Program Manager. Since then, the NM contract has expanded twice, one which grew from originally providing care to the women's facilities to now partnering to provide care in the men's facilities. Centurion now partners with NMCD in 7 of 11 facilities.
