Ms. Mandii Brown is a seasoned mental health professional whose correctional experience includes serving as cognitive behavior intervention program consultant for several maximum-security prisons in Tennessee. Her personal trials with domestic violence and suicide deeply influence her advocacy for mental health and her commitment to foster healing within communities. Currently, Ms. Brown serves as a community reintegration specialist, collaborating with three nonprofits focusing on justice-impacted youth and individuals newly released from incarceration. She also practices part-time with a mental health organization called Black Mental Health Village. She holds master’s degrees in clinical mental health counseling and restorative justice.
