Dr. Alison Miller joined the Bureau of Health Services team as the DOC’s first addiction medicine-dedicated physician in April 2024. She is board certified in addiction medicine and family medicine. Dr. Miller provides direct patient care for people in our care with opioid use disorder at the Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility and provides training and technical assistance to DOC providers to increase access to medications for opioid use disorder throughout DOC facilities. Dr. Miller is passionate about treating patients with addiction and committed to whole-person care, and, before joining DOC, had worked to implement MOUD within primary care.
